Pride Month
Every year, the Wesleyan community comes together to celebrate Pride Month in October with a variety of events, initatives, performances, and celebrations. Please come out and support as many of the great events listed below as you are able!

Shared Experiences in Gender Affirming Care

Pride Month Kick-Off

StarGayzing

- Event Description: (attendance open to the public) Join the Wesleyan Astronomy Department for a "Star Gay-zing" public observing night. There will be multiple telescopes in operation for public sky viewing, treats, mini talks about queer topics in astronomy, a planetarium show queering the constellations, and other activities. All ages, genders, identities, and majors welcome!

Film Screening of RAINS OVER BABEL (Llueve sobre Babel)

- Event Description: (attendance open to the public) Written and directed by Gala del Sol, this peculiar reimagining of Dante’s Inferno is a choral queer drama. The action revolves around Babel, a bar where several characters meet with La Flaca – the very incarnation of Death – with whom souls can gamble years of their lives in an attempt to outwit her. That’s how we meet Dante, who tries to unravel the secrets of his past before his contract with La Flaca expires; Monet, rushing to reclaim his body before it decomposes; Timbí and Uma, fighting to save beloved family members; and Jacob, experiencing an inner battle while preparing for his first drag performance.

Sexual Shame and Healing Workshop

Nail Night

Do you want to learn how to take care of your nails? Just need a second to chill because school is annoying? Come join the Resource Center's Gender and Sexuality Interns for our semesterly nail night. We will have gel polish and manicure supplies available that are completely free and open to everyone!
Taking Up Space: Strategies for Addressing Cissexism and Transphobia in our Families

This workshop is for those of us who may find ourselves in spaces with community members who are less than supportive regarding our identities. Participants will engage in discussions and problem-solving to develop and further strengthen strategies for self-advocacy and boundaries in our families and communities.
